Based in Sydney, Australia, Empty began in 2005 and define themselves as an Electronic-Industrial outfit, which has evolved into a style that draws upon the diverse sounds of Dark-Electro and a unique, melodic collaboration of Pop and Industrial.

The initial MP3 release of the demo selection entitled "Abandon All Hope" began circulating on the net and into the hands of DJs across the globe. This later led to the independent release of the debut EP "Open Aeon" on the Aphotic Audio label in 2006.

In 2007 the initial two piece band was expanded to include a live drummer and bassist. This led to a series of live shows locally around Sydney and regular international radio airplay.

While recording new material for a full-length album in 2008, Empty released "Aeon Xpand" which highlights a selection of remixes by various artists.
